Sheldon Moore incoming correspondence, 1822-1828, 1837.

Correspondence, both business and personal, sent to Sheldon Moore of Southington, Connecticut. The correspondence discussed education, the need for tutors in the South, and the water lime business. Two letters addressed to Moore & Andrews of Berlin, Connecticut, also concern the manufacture and sale of "water lime" or hydraulic lime. Two additional letters are addressed to Roswell Moore. The latest letter, dated 1837, was written by Susan Moore to her husband Sheldon.
